Thomas L. Sack
As president of VTM, Tom has responsibility for overall management of the company. He directs sales in
the western U.S. and provides corporate support to clients worldwide.Early in his career, he worked in
The Chase Manhattan Bank’s transportation cash management division and in a three-year period was
promoted from regional salesto national sales manager. Tom later became a principal investor in CTI
Logistics, where he deepened his understanding of the freight management industry and developed a
hands-on customer service approach. He worked to develop an expert system (TRANSWARE) that serves to
maximize information technology and productivity for VTM clients.In 1995 Tom founded VTM, which is
the culmination of his over twenty years of experience in the transportation, accounting and systems
management industries. He is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Marketing
and Economics. Healso pursued graduate studies in International Business at Golden Gate University in
Vice President, Operations
As vice president of VTM, Scott manages the Chicago production office and oversees a team of support
staff who ensure that VTM maintains the highest level of customer care. In addition to managing the day-
to-day business practices of VTM, Scott works closely with the technology department and continually
monitors and upgrades the TRANSWARE system. Prior to working for VTM, Scott was an IT developer,
manager and executive with Borg-Warner Corporation. He oversaw Borg-Warner’s transition to using a
third party freight and audit-payment business. Scott also served as vice president of Chase Trans-Info
and was a principal shareholder in CTI Logistics. In 1995 Scott partnered with President Tom Sack
to found VTM, a company based on principles they developed after 31 years of work in
the transportation information industry. Scott is a graduate of Harper College and a member of NASSTRAC,
Southern Motor Carrier Conference User Group, and various other professional organization.
Director Information Technologies
John brings over 25 years of experience and leadership as an IT professional to Virtual Transportation Management. He has helped to align business strategies at VTM with Information technology while building process automation and successfully implementing innovative software solutions for our customers. He manages a team of project managers, team leaders, and others whose focus is to continue to improve our information management capabilities. John holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Information Systems from DeVry University.
EDI Coordinator and Client Funding Services
As Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) coordinator and client funding services manager for VTM, Darlynn manages corporate EDI projects, creates core data records for clients, works to improve the quality and security of data the company shares with all business partners, and oversees client funding and billing. She also supervises the set-up process of all new client accounts, and reviews client feedback to improve the efficiency of VTM’s information systems. Prior to working for VTM, Darlynn served as the EDI/systems analyst for Chase Trans-Info and as the EDI coordinator for CTI Logistics. She did her undergraduate studies at Northern Illinois University.
Director of Pricing and Customer Services
Allison has over 15 years of experience as a transportation logistics professional. She has a diverse
background in Project Management, Rate Analysis, and Account Representation with multiple leading
providers within the Freight Audit and Payment Industry.
Allison graduated from Northern Illinois University in 1994 with a BS in Organizational and Corporate
Communications and a minor in Business Administration. She currently holds the position of Director of
Pricing and Customer Services. Allison focuses her time on maintaining and developing key account
relations at Virtual Transportation Management Inc.
